Villa Re-Roof — Maori Hill
Maori Hill, Dunedin
This Maori Hill villa had its original corrugated iron roof from the 1920s. While it had held up remarkably well, rust had taken hold along the laps and ridges, and multiple patches over the years meant the roof was no longer performing.
We stripped the entire roof, inspected the sarking and framing — replacing several rafters that had moisture damage — then installed new Colorsteel Endura in Grey Friars. All new flashings, ridging, and a full spouting replacement completed the job.
The homeowners chose Grey Friars to complement the villa's original character. The result is a roof that looks right for the era but will last another 50+ years.
