Colorsteel & Metal Roofing

Colorsteel & Metal Roofing

Long-run Colorsteel is the gold standard for residential roofing in New Zealand. We install it properly — the right product for your site, fixed to last.

About This Service

Colorsteel is New Zealand's most widely specified roofing material, and for good reason. It's lightweight, handles high winds, resists corrosion, and comes in a wide range of profiles and colours. But the key to a long-lasting Colorsteel roof is choosing the right product for your location and having it installed correctly.

We work with two main Colorsteel product lines. Colorsteel Endura uses a magnesium-zinc alloy coating designed for severe coastal and industrial environments — essential for homes on the Otago Peninsula, along the harbour, or anywhere within a few kilometres of the coast. Colorsteel Maxx is a high-quality option for inland areas like Mosgiel, the Taieri Plains, and sheltered parts of the city.

Profile selection matters too. Corrugate is the traditional choice and works well on most pitches. Tray profiles give a cleaner, more contemporary look. We'll recommend the right profile based on your roof pitch, wind zone, and aesthetic preference.

Every installation uses the correct fixings, sealants, and overlap specifications for the product. We don't cut corners on flashing details or ventilation — those are the things that determine whether a roof lasts 25 years or 50.
