Spouting Replacement — Port Chalmers
Port Chalmers, Otago Harbour
This two-storey weatherboard home in Port Chalmers had its original galvanised spouting from the 1960s. Corrosion from the harbour salt air had caused multiple leaks, and the undersized downpipes couldn't handle heavy rain.
We replaced the entire system with continuous colour-matched spouting and upgraded to larger round downpipes. Working on a two-storey home requires scaffolding and careful planning — we coordinated everything to minimise disruption.
The new system handles peak rainfall without overflow and will resist the harbour conditions for decades. The colour match to the existing fascia means it looks like it's always been there.
